It’s almost time! Urology Center of Iowa (UCI) is preparing to move into our brand new, state-of-the-art location at 12129 University Ave., Clive, Iowa, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
Slated to start seeing patients July 8, 2020, this 10,000 square-foot facility is the most comprehensive center for urologic care in Central Iowa. We have invested in a vast array of diagnostic and therapeutic services to better serve you, including an in-office dispensary to assist patients in getting medications covered and delivered in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
This flagship office will also be home to the most comprehensive Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic in central Iowa. Unlike anything else in the area, the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic will provide improved coordination of care for this patient population.

Advanced Treatments for Enlarged Prostate
An enlarged prostate (BPH) is a common urologic problem many men face as they age. This can start as early as age 40. By age 60, about 7 in 10 men will have symptoms related to BPH.
The prostate is normally the size of a walnut and aids in sexual reproduction. As the prostate grows, sometimes getting as big as a baseball or softball, it can begin blocking the flow of urine from the bladder to the urethra. The blockage will lead to weak stream, straining, and starting and stopping of flow. It will also lead to problems with the bladder, which results in frequency, urgency and feeling like you can't empty. In some cases, the blockage can result in bladder failure requiring a permanent catheter, kidney failure, bladder stones, and recurrent urinary infections.
